Episode 4: Shadow of a Second Shinichi (Arrival)

ProfessorAgasa: After finding the Captain dead through our flight, Hattori-kun was able to pinpoint the killer, the head attendant.
ProfessorAgasa: Fortunately, the co-pilot, with Conan-kun's help, was able to land the plane with no issues.
ProfessorAgasa: Now we are in Fukuoka, the capital of the Fukuoka Prefecture, and we can begin looking into two mysteries that have led us here.
ProfessorAgasa: The first... what is with the cryptic clues my old friend has been sending me... and the seocnd... what mysteries lie with the suspicious Shinichi of the South?
ProfessorAgasa: [Cue title!]
ProfessorAgasa: [And... scene!]
Ayumi: Yay! We're here!
* ProfessorAgasa yawns.
* Ayumi rushes over to the window
ProfessorAgasa: That was a good sleep.
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "Uwa!" Mitsuhiko had his hands together marveling at Heiji. "Heiji-san, you were so cool!"
Ayumi: Ne, ne, Conan-kun!
* Ayumi rushing back over to the group
HattoriHeiji: "Well, I couldn't have done it without my assistant." Heiji jabbed his thumb in conan's direction
Ayumi: Conan-kun!
* Ayumi grabs Conan's arm
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "Oh? really?" His face still brimming with awe
Ayumi: What should we work on first?
ProfessorAgasa: Ah... we should look into our hotel reservations...
EdogawaConan: *grins briefly up at Heiji, then looks over at Ayumi, blinking* W-What?
Ayumi: The case of Hakase's friend, or where Shinichi-oniisan is?
* ProfessorAgasa continues voicing himself, unawares that no one is listening.
ProfessorAgasa: Fukuoka is known for its natural beauty.
ProfessorAgasa: Hot springs are a staple of its economy.
Ayumi: Ne, Ran-oneesan!
ProfessorAgasa: In fact, very little demolishing of the forests goes on around Fukuoka.
MouriRan: Yes, Ayumi-chan?
* Ayumi lets go of Conan and runs over to Ran, tugging her sleeve
ProfessorAgasa: This of course is in sharp contrast to the other major city of the Fukuoka Prefecture.
Ayumi: What should we do first?
ProfessorAgasa: In that city, one might find such attractions as Space World or the Fukuoka Aquarium.
MouriRan: "We should look into our hotel reservations" *quoting Hakase*

Ayumi: *hears Hakase* Space World? Is that like Tropical Land?
* ProfessorAgasa nods
ProfessorAgasa: It's similar.
ProfessorAgasa: Of course, that's in a different city.
Ayumi: Ah, yeah...*looking back up at Ran* I guess we need to put stuff down first, huh?
Ayumi: Ne, Ran-oneesan...
ProfessorAgasa: Kitakyushu is known for both.
Ayumi: Ayumi gets to share a room with Ai-chan and Ran-oneesan, right?
MouriRan: H-- Hai?
ProfessorAgasa: Of course, among the notable sights here are the Tenjin and the Canal City Hakata, two major shopping centers.
MouriRan: Hot springs... *smiles* Sounds great!
ProfessorAgasa: Ah, yes. The hot springs are their specialty.
ProfessorAgasa: People travel from far countries to visit the hot springs of Fukuoka.
Ayumi: Hot springs?
Ayumi: Ne, Ran-oneesan, can we all go to the hot springs??
Ayumi: Please?
EdogawaConan: *coughs suddenly, turning red*
Ayumi: But then why would Conan-kun get a nosebleed from the hot springs if he didn't stay in too long?
ProfessorAgasa: Right.
ProfessorAgasa: This terminal is of the "Fukuoka Airport".
ProfessorAgasa: Perhaps not the most creative name, but it got us where we needed to go.
Ayumi: Oh, right, we have to get our bags!
HattoriHeiji: Yeah. I'd like to rest after all that traveling.." Heiji let out a sigh'
ProfessorAgasa: Right then.
Ayumi: Do we get to chase our bags around the circle-thingy?
Ayumi: The one that moves?
Ayumi: The bags pop out the top and then go round in circles! *^_^*
* Ayumi is excited
ProfessorAgasa: And after that, we will be headed to our hotel, which is hear the beach.
EdogawaConan: *chuckles slightly at Ayumi*
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "It is quite amusing to watch the bags circle around"
Ayumi: Yay!
Ayumi: And the beach, too! *^_^*
Ayumi: Oh, make sure Ai-chan doesn't get too hot...
ProfessorAgasa: We'll be staying at the Sea Hawk Hotel (that's a rough translation).
Ayumi: Didn't she almost get sunstroke one time in Izu?
ProfessorAgasa: We are lucky, because the Sea Hawk Resort welcomes children.

Ayumi: Ah....I'm sorry, Ran-oneesan...

Ayumi: We have to find Shinichi-oniisan!
Ayumi: And we have to solve the puzzle Hakase's friend sent him! *^_^*
HattoriHeiji: 'You are noisy... believe me..' Heiji glanced ot the side remembering the few times he could hear them on the other end when talking ot kudo on the phone
ProfessorAgasa: Ah, right. I'll call the cab, if you'll get my bag.
EdogawaConan: Ah, wouldn't it be better to look for Hakase's friend first? He might be able to help us find Shinichi-niichan too, ne?
* ProfessorAgasa bends down next to Conan.
* EdogawaConan looks up at Hakase as his shadow falls over him
ProfessorAgasa: I noticed you seemed distracted on the plane, Shinichi-kun. Is the newspaper bothering you that much?
Ayumi: But...I want to help Ran-oneesan find Shinichi-oniisan!
* MouriRan pats Ayumi's head
MouriRan: Its OK, Ayumi-chan. I'm sure he's... busy.
Ayumi: But he needs to catch the bad guy so he can come back to you!
Ayumi: And he really ought to at least tell you he's OK!
Ayumi: Right?
Ayumi: And I wanna see him again!
HattoriHeiji: "'sides, this kind of stuff isn't for kids." Heiji had a feelings things would get violent.
Ayumi: What's not for kids, Heiji-oniisan?
EdogawaConan: *drops his eyes, suspiciously glancing about the airport* I've just... got a bad feeling, is all. So be careful, alright?
Ayumi: Conan-kun?
* Ayumi comes up next to Conan
Ayumi: Are you alright?
HattoriHeiji: "Uh. Well. It's just not."
ProfessorAgasa: Right...
* ProfessorAgasa leans back.
Ayumi: Conan-kun?
EdogawaConan: *looks over at Ayumi* Ah. Just don't do something crazy, ne?
ProfessorAgasa: Right then! Get my bag for me!
Ayumi: Crazy?
* ProfessorAgasa charges off to get a cab.
* MouriRan sighs, reading about the hotel in a tiny book for tourist about the city
Ayumi: Why would Ayumi do something crazy?
EdogawaConan: Haiii. *puts his hands in his pockets and heads toward the baggage claim*
* Ayumi follows Conan
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: Resume and revive!~~
Ayumi: Kono you de anata no a~i wo...
MouriRan: *with Ayumi over her lap*
Ayumi: De Niii~ ireru mono!
HattoriHeiji: 'And they said they weren't loud...' Heiji sighed at the loud children.
ProfessorAgasa: Oi, oi. We're getting to the hotel!
ProfessorAgasa: Everyone quiet down a moment.
* Ayumi stops singing
* MouriRan laughs at Heiji

ProfessorAgasa: Alright, I'm going to visit the front desk and check us in.

TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "Ran-san being a messanger..." Mitsuhiko sighed
MouriRan: Solve it, Ayumi-chan. I know you are a great detective. Even better than Shinichi!

TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "oh.. I was gonna say a scietist...."
Ayumi: Ayumi's not such a great detective, huh...
HattoriHeiji: 'hahaha... that's what she is gonna do anyway.'

HattoriHeiji: 'please let me room with kudo...'
MouriRan: Ayumi-chan, if you're scared about something, you can sleep with me *smiles, nervous*

Ayumi: Ne, let's go put our stuff in our rooms!
Ayumi: Then we can get started on the cases! *^_^*
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "Ok!"
Ayumi: And we'll find Shinichi-oniisan! *^_^*
MouriRan: Let me help you with the bags, Hakase!
ProfessorAgasa: Ah, thanks Ran-kun.
ProfessorAgasa: Fortunately, it looks like we're near the elevators...
Ayumi: Yay! Let's go!!
HattoriHeiji: Heiji lifted some of the other bags and proceeded ot carry them
Ayumi: Ne, Hakase, what floor are we on?
ProfessorAgasa: Floor eight.
* Ayumi is taking care of her own bag(s?)
HattoriHeiji: "Yosh."
Ayumi: OK!
* Ayumi rushes over to the elevator
MouriRan: *grabs with no problem almost all the bags, and rushes over to the elevator, excited*
ProfessorAgasa: We're in rooms 852 and 854, which are right next to the elevators.
* ProfessorAgasa fiddles with the door to 852.
* EdogawaConan lingers along hesitantly behind Hattori and Ran, debating to himself which one to stay with for the moment*
Ayumi: Ne, Ran-oneesan, this one's our room, right? *indicating 854
Ayumi: *
MouriRan: Yes~!
Ayumi: Yay!
Ayumi: Let's go in! Please?
* Ayumi is too small to open the door.
MouriRan: Hattori-kun... *stares at him, then at the bags in her hands, and then at the small Ayumi* Would you mind...?
HattoriHeiji: "Oh." Heiji reached over and helped open the door
MouriRan: Thank you! *smiles gently, and enters* W-- waaaaw~!
EdogawaConan: *sticks the key into Hakase's door for him and tugs it open, having only a duffel bag for his luggage*
Ayumi: Wow!!!
MouriRan: Look, Ayumi-chan!
* Ayumi looks
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "the room is so nice!" Mitsuhiko hops on to the closet bed
MouriRan: Dont you think its just great? *points at the window*
ProfessorAgasa: Mitsuhiko-kun.
ProfessorAgasa: Would you mind getting the ice?
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: Mitsuhiko stretched out onto the bed. "mmm! what a flight. feels nice in hee."
* ProfessorAgasa holds out the ice container.
Ayumi: Ran-oneesan! What should we do first?
ProfessorAgasa: It should be at the end of the hall.
Ayumi: Ayumi wants to look for Shinichi-oniisan...
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "Oh, sure." He hopped off the bed and grabbed the ice container. "Where is the ice machine?"
MouriRan: *leaving her luggage on her bed*
Ayumi: But we don't really have any clues about where he is...
Ayumi: And can Ayumi sleep with Ran-oneesan? Ai-chan probably wants a bed to herself...
MouriRan: You wanted to go to the hot springs, right? *smiles, wanting to change the subject.*
* Ayumi leaves her luggage near the drawers/closet/someplace convenient.
Ayumi: Yeah...
MouriRan: Of course, Ayumi-chan
Ayumi: But...Shouldn't we work on the case a little first?
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: He ran out of the room to retrieve the ice
* ProfessorAgasa closes the door.
ProfessorAgasa: Hattori-kun.
ProfessorAgasa: Has Shinichi-kun filled you in on what we know?
HattoriHeiji: "Hasn't had the chance." He shook his head. "Seemed like someone culd have been listneing"
ProfessorAgasa: I see.
* ProfessorAgasa passes him the newspaper from three nights ago in Fukuoka.
ProfessorAgasa: This is just one of many.
* ProfessorAgasa :::: The headline reads, "Teen Detective Prodigy Kudou Shinichi Saves Fukuoka Police, Foils Bank Robbery".
HattoriHeiji: "His eyes narrowed. "I see. "
* Ayumi runs to see if Conan has any plan for what to do first....
* Ayumi finds that the door to the boys' room is closed, so she goes back to Ran
HattoriHeiji: "so someone here is posing as Kudo..." He began to think of the bad things that could happen.
Ayumi: Um...Maybe we should go to the hot springs...
Ayumi: No one else seems to be ready to work on the case yet...
Ayumi: Can we go, Ran-oneesan? Please?
MouriRan: Y-- Yes! Let's go *grabs Ayumi's hand* But let's search for Hakase first..
Ayumi: Hakase's door is closed...
* Ayumi is pulled along with Ran
EdogawaConan: *sitting on the end of one of the beds in the room, listening to Hakase and Hattori* If the Synadicte is paying any attention, things are going to get really bad here, fast. I'd rather not have the others here, but their seemingly harmless case leads here too... *a slight frown touches his lips, expressing his concern silently*
MouriRan: Nee... Ayumi-chan...
Ayumi: Ne, Ran-oneesan, why don't we leave Hakase a note under his door...
Ayumi: And then we can go to the hotspring!
Ayumi: Right?
Ayumi: Hai, Ran-oneesan?
HattoriHeiji: "Yeah, I'd rather they weren't here either, Kudo. I almost wonder if they are both some how connected..."
MouriRan: You-- you're right... Let's leave a note...
ProfessorAgasa: I would think that's unlikely, however.
MouriRan: D-- Dont you think Conan-kun was acting a little... strange on the airplane?
ProfessorAgasa: The man we are here looking for is reputable and honorable.
ProfessorAgasa: I couldn't imagine him being part of that Black Organization.
Ayumi: During the case?
EdogawaConan: *his eyes narrow somewhat* You think so to, huh, Hattori... That this other "Kudou Shinichi"... might've sent the note to bring Hakase here?
Ayumi: But Conan-kun always acts like that during a case....all cool...
HattoriHeiji: He nodded. "Yeah"
MouriRan: Even before the case.
MouriRan: And after...
Ayumi: Um...he fell asleep right when we got on the plane again....
Ayumi: Didn't he?
Ayumi: After...
Ayumi: Oh, right, he ran to the front...
Ayumi: I dunno...

Ayumi: Ayumi was chattering at you the whole flight...Conan-kun didn't get a chance to talk...
Ayumi: Ayumi is sorry!
ProfessorAgasa: I don't know...
ProfessorAgasa: It seems like if they were part of the organization, they wouldn't use that name.
Ayumi: Let's leave a note and go to the hotspring!
MouriRan: Hum... *rushes over to the room, and comes out with paper and a pencil*

EdogawaConan: They might not be part of the organization. *slides off the bed, his hands going back into his pockets* They might just be looking for a way to contact me to solve a different case... But because they're using my name so openly... The black organization may try to silence this "Kudou Shinichi"... because I'm supposed to be dead.
ProfessorAgasa: But why would they use the puzzles?
* ProfessorAgasa nods.
ProfessorAgasa: That's a good point.
Ayumi: OK! *^_^*
* Ayumi brings the note to Hakase's door and slides it under.
ProfessorAgasa: But the organization has tried to lure people out before... they didn't need to use riddles, puzzles, or even other cities.
MouriRan: Lets go... *Grabs her hand again, walking*
EdogawaConan: If it's a puzzle... then wouldn't any partially interested detective be interested in solving it? *looks over at Hakase* If you didn't understand it, who'd be the first person you'd probably call? Someone who's good at solving puzzles that you know well, ne?
ProfessorAgasa: I think Shinichi-kun is right. Whoever is doing this is probably drawing the attention of darker forces to this city.
* Ayumi goes along
* ProfessorAgasa thinks on it.
Ayumi: Yay! We get to have a bath! *^_^*
ProfessorAgasa: Ah, I see.
ProfessorAgasa: You're right. And Ai-kun acknoledged the tie between us.
EdogawaConan: Kudou Shinichi, being your supposed next door neighbor, would probably be your first reach. If not him, then Ochhan is two blocks away.
HattoriHeiji: Heiji nodded.
* ProfessorAgasa nods.
ProfessorAgasa: Whatever the matter... it's suspicious.
ProfessorAgasa: How should we start, though?
EdogawaConan: *glances at the clock and frowns* ... It's taking Mitsuhiko an awfuly long time to get ice... *glances toward the door, wondering why he hasn't knocked yet to be let in*
MouriRan: E-- Excuse me--- *talking to the hotel staff* ... T-- The hotsprings...
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: Mitsuhiko had taken a small detour from the icemachine and was now hobbling back with the bucket. he probably got too much
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "Gu- guys?" He strained to hold it up
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: Mitsuhiko noticed a note on the ground.
EdogawaConan: *hearing Mitsuhiko, he goes to the door and is about to open it when he notices the paper under the door* ...? *picks it up and opens the door for Mitsuhiko, stepping back looking at the note*
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: With some trouble. Mitsuhiko manages to put the bucket on the desk. He let out a sigh. "There ya go. Sorry it took so long," He rubbed the back of his head. " I took a little detour. Hehe."
MouriRan: *points at the hotsprings* Here! *smiles*
Ayumi: Yay! *^_^*
HattoriHeiji: "What does the note say?"
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: Mitsuhiko read over his shoulder. "Eh?! They went to the hotsprings?! Without us.." He puted
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: pouted*
EdogawaConan: Ah.. it seems Haibara, Ayumi and Ran went to the hotsprings already. *hides a "ha ha" look*
ProfessorAgasa: Ah, thank you Mitsuhiko-kun.
TsuburayaMitsuhiko: "What are we supposed to do?" He sulked over to the bed and flopped down on it
HattoriHeiji: Heiji gave a snort.
MouriRan: Lets get in *smiles, hiding she's worried about Conan*
Ayumi: *^_^*
* Ayumi follows Ran into hot spring
Ayumi: Ne, Ran-oneesan, you said you went to a hotspring with Conan-kun, right?
MouriRan: Yes *blinks, staring at Ayumi*
Ayumi: But he got all red and got a nosebleed....so I guess he must not have had as much fun...
Ayumi: Why were you at the hotspring, though?
Ayumi: Did something happen?
Ayumi: Was it a reward for something, maybe?
Ayumi: Satou-keiji and Takagi-keiji were going to go to the hotspring when they finished the case with the whistling serial killer....
HaibaraAi: "Hot springs are also relaxing. They rid of stress. Maybe that's why Edogawa-kun went in?" She gave a small smile
EdogawaConan: *sneezes suddenly*
