{In the hall outside Ran’s room at the hospital…though not for long.}
EdogawaConan: It's 1218 Town Naraya! *he takes off towards the hospital entrance, pulling Ayumi's along behind him*
* Ayumi follows, happy to have something to do
* HaibaraAi wonders is she should follow
Ayumi: Ne, Conan-kun....how are we going to get there?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Ah!" Mitsuhiko barely heard Conan-kun since he was focused on Ran-san. "Hakase, keep an eye on Ran-san!" Mitsuhiko ran out of her room and grabbed Haibara's hand. "C'mon. We can't let them go alone!" He pulled her along
* ProfessorAgasa starts to follow, but stops.
ProfessorAgasa: Ah-- But what if Ran-kun and Heiji-kun need me?
* ProfessorAgasa mutters, "You better be careful, Shinichi..."
* HaibaraAi looks back at Hakase
HattoriHeiji: Heiji saw the four run by.”Oi! Be careful this time!" he shouted from his bed
HaibaraAi: "Hattori-kun should be fine, he won't need you as much as Ran-san," she called back to him
* ProfessorAgasa nods.
EdogawaConan: I've got some money with me, and we can walk or run there if we have to. Come on! *he pulls her outside, and grins slightly when he sees Mitsu and Haibara are following them*
HattoriHeiji: "Ahou..." He lightly banged his head on the pillow. He felt so useless...
Ayumi: OK! *^_^* *goes along happily*
Ayumi: Let's go! *^_^*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Conan-kun, how do we even know the when of this puzzle?!"
Ayumi: Maybe there isn't a when?
Ayumi: If we go there, maybe we'll find the next clue!
* HaibaraAi pulls ahead with Mitsuhiko to catch up with Conan and Ayumi.
Ayumi: And if there's a when, we can figure that out after we get there! *^_^*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "It still seems off though... Yeah, more clues."
Ayumi: Right, O...Conan-kun?
EdogawaConan: It's an address, Mitsuhiko. *pauses at the end of a block of what looks like a major street, and pulls a map out of his back pocket to find the street they're headed towards*
* Ayumi tries to get a look at the map over Conan's shoulder
EdogawaConan: *looks over it* Ah, here it is. *points to the street, finding it is, indeed, not too far* Let's go! *glances up and finds the crosswalk light is green and darts across towards their destination*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: Mitsuhiko was getting excited; he could see why Conan wanted to run to get everywhere. The adrenaline was overpowering.
* Ayumi follows, still being pulled along because Conan never quite let go of her hand.
* [TsuburayaMitsuhiko] follows sharply behind Conan
* HaibaraAi follows, not saying anything
EdogawaConan: *finds the street, and begins searching for the address, having already found they were near the block due to they path they took to reach the street*
Ayumi: *^_^* Shonen tantei dan...shuupatsu!! *^_^*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Yeah!" Blushes a little because they get to solve something this big.
Ayumi: *^_^* Let's go! *^_^*
EdogawaConan: *examines the map closer, finding the address itself and corrects his path to reach it, putting the map back in his pocket before reaching their destination*
Ayumi: We have to find Oniisan! *pretending that she doesn't know because she doesn't know that Mitsu knows*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Yeah. We need to find Shinichi-san."
Ayumi: Conan-kun? Did we find it yet?
EdogawaConan: *standing at the path to the doorway, looking at the front door* Ah... It's right here. *his eyes narrow slightly; how close were they? Had they passed the biggest danger already?*
Ayumi: Here? You're sure?
Ayumi: It looks....kinda plain....
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "I was kind of expecting something more suspicious looking..." He stepped closer to the house
EdogawaConan: Well... Think of it this way: Shinichi-oniisan is a famous person, ne? If a famous person wants to not be found... wouldn't they try to find a place that doesn't look suspicious or fancy?
HaibaraAi: Just because it looks normal on the outside, doesn't mean it doesn't have secrets
Ayumi: Yeah, I guess so...
Ayumi: Ojisan is famous, and the detective agency doesn't look like much at all....
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Yeah..."
EdogawaConan: *puts his hands in his pockets and walks towards the door, deciding to try a forward approach*
* Ayumi follows Conan.
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: Mitsuhiko follows Conan and looks around.
* HaibaraAi hesitates, then follows them
EdogawaConan: *reaches the door, and after a slight hesitation, reaches up to push the doorbell*
* Ayumi is standing right next to Conan.
* Resident opens the door open a crack and looks through, before opening it more widely.
Resident: You need something?

[Commercial break! Doors close!]
Subi: ((Conan would also like to remind everyone to please sit a fair distance from the screen and have plenty of light!))

[Doors open!]

[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Sorry to bother you niisan." He put on his best child face. "It's just a puzzle led us here."
EdogawaConan: *smiles up at the resident* Hello! We're assistants of Mouri Kogoro-ojisan. *he grins childishly* We're investigating a case in the area that's lead us here. Do you mind if we look around?
Resident Man: I have guests over right now, I'm sorry.
Resident Man: Wait-- Kogoro-san?
* Ayumi offers her best cute smile, hoping to help convince the guy to help them.
EdogawaConan: Mmn! *nods*
Resident Man: What does he want with THIS house?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "You know him?" He tilts his head.
Resident Man: The Sleeping Kogoro? He's a renowned detective.
EdogawaConan: Ah... *blinks, slightly surprised by the hostile tone of the man* Is something wrong?
Resident Man: No, nothing. Just surprised. I don't know why this area would be under investigation is all.
EdogawaConan: Well, can we look around, just to make sure? We'll try not to cause too much trouble.
Resident Man: I'm sorry, but my guests don't like to be disturbed.
Ayumi: But we'll be careful!
Ayumi: Ojisan would be upset if we didn't investigate it thoroughly!
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Unun!" He nods
Ayumi: We won't bother your guests...
Ayumi: We just want to look....
EdogawaConan: Actually, we're looking for someone who might be in the area... maybe your guests have seen him? He's a close friend of Ojisan, so it'd be bad if something has happened to him, ne?
EdogawaConan: Please, oniisan? It's important... *does his best sad look up at him*
Ayumi: Please, oniisan?? *cute puppy-dog look, pleading*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "We just like to get into mysteries; we promise that we won't break anything!"
Resident Man: I told you kids no! Don't you have something better to do than try and get into people's houses?
* AiHaibara starts crying.
Resident Man: Why don't you go solve a real crime? I heard there was a fire not far from here, go figure out what started that.
* EdogawaConan frowns slightly* Then... Oniisan has something to hide?
Ayumi: T_T B-but, we have to solve the puzzle....*crying*
AiHaibara: "But... But... We just like playing detective! "
Resident Man: Hey, quiet down! What's wrong?
Ayumi: W-we have to s-solve the p-puzzle....
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Don’t cry Haibara-san. I'm sure Ojichan won't be too mad."
Resident Man: Look, maybe your puzzle was wrong or something. There's nothing here but me and my two associates.
Ayumi: O-or ojisan w-will get m-mad, and O-oniisan won't come b-back, and o-oneesan will c-cry! T_T
HaibaraAi: "But... We need to solve this puzzle! We worked so hard!" She rubs at her eyes
EdogawaConan: *glances behind him, getting an idea* Ah, you see, it's their oniisan we're looking for. He disappeared suddenly, so we're looking for him.
Ayumi: T_T
Ayumi: Mm-hmm....
Ayumi: O-oniisan v-vanished....
Resident Man: I don't know anything about any missing people.
Ayumi: B-but he left a message....
Ayumi: And the m-message lead here!
Resident Man: ...
Resident Man: You kids said you work for Kogoro-san?
Ayumi: *nods*
HaibaraAi: "unun" She chokes on her tears
Resident Man: Ugh... Okay, I'll let you take a look short look around, but on one condition.
Ayumi: Mm-hmm?
EdogawaConan: Condition? *he perks slightly; if it's an autograph or something, he can get it easy*
Resident Man: You can not come into the back room. We're having a very important meeting back there, and it must not be disturbed.
Ayumi: O-okay....
HaibaraAi: "Th- Thank you Niisan." Haibara sniffles.
Ayumi: *thinks* I'm sure Oniisan can think of a way to get around that....transmitter bug or something?
Resident Man: Alright, whatever. Close the door behind you...
Ayumi: Thanks, oniisan!
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Thanks, niisan!"
Resident Man: Tanaka! I'm on my way back. Some kids wanted to look around!
* Resident Man walks to the back room and closes the door behind him, locking it.
HaibaraAi: Once he had his back to the group she cleaned up her face.
* Ayumi does the same.
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "That was so cool, Haibara-san." He awed at her instant water works
EdogawaConan: *takes his shoes off, and glances towards the man briefly; it's slightly suspicious, but he decides he can investigate it more after looking around more*
Ayumi: Ok..*whispering* Where do we start?
HaibaraAi: "It was easy." She smirked and followed Mitsuhiko
EdogawaConan: We'll look for something that might be related to the puzzle first. We'll go room by room. *he picks the closest unlocked room first and begins his investigation, seeming to just be walking around at first*
HaibaraAi: "I suppose it'd be quicker if we split up. Tsuburaya-kun?" She walked to another unlocked room.
* Ayumi starts in the next room over, walking slowly around the edge of the room to see if she can spot anything out of place or that might be related to Oniisan.
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Right." He follows behind her. Even though he isn't sure what he needs to find
EdogawaConan: *briefly walks through one or two other rooms and comes to the conclusion this house is rarely in use and thus finds himself wandering back to the locked door, staring at it, his detective mind wondering what was so important that must be hidden*
* Ayumi keeps looking through various rooms, but nothing catches her eye
* Ayumi walks up behind Conan
Ayumi: *whispering* Oniisan? Did you find anything?
Ayumi: *w* Ayumi thinks nobody really lives here...it's too dusty....
HaibaraAi: Haibara picked up on how the house seemed very out of use. She smiled slightly.
Ayumi: *w* Oniisan...is there a way to find out what they're saying in that room? Without them finding out?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "What?" Mitsuhiko looks at what Haibara was looking at. "There's so much dust... It's hardly used." Mitsuhiko looked at the furniture surprised
EdogawaConan: *reaches up and knocks on the door* Oniisan~?
Tanaka: Who's that?
Resident Man: Shut up, it's just those kids I was talking about!
Tanaka: You let them in?!
Resident Man: They said they wouldn't bother us!
Resident Man: Just let me talk to them a minute and we'll be fine.
* Ayumi hides behind Conan
EdogawaConan: *narrows his eyes somewhat, taking something off his glasses in the span it takes the man to answer the door*
Tanaka: Moron...
* Resident Man cracks the door.
Resident Man: I thought I told you not to bother us.
Resident Man: That was our ONE condition.
HaibaraAi: Haibara returns to the hallway Conan is in, but keeps her distance. Mitsuhiko in tow
Resident Man: I'm having a VERY important meeting with my associates.
EdogawaConan: *smiles innocently* I know. I just wanted to let you know we're done, so you could lock the door behind us.
Resident Man: Oh... alright then.
* Resident Man closes the door behind him narrowly and walks them to the front door.
Ayumi: Thank you, oniisan!
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Thanks, niichan!"
HaibaraAi: "Thanks a lot, niisan!"
Resident Man: Alright, yeah. And you can tell Kogoro-san there was nothing suspicious about my house, alright?
EdogawaConan: *walks kind of behind the man, and 'trips' near the door, slipping something into the man's pocket* Wah! *falls flat on his face*
Resident Man: Hey, hey, be more careful.
* Resident Man helps him up.
Ayumi: Hai, oniisan...
Ayumi: Conan-kun, are you OK?
Resident Man: Alright, out you go. Kogoro-san should honestly send a chaperone with you kids...
EdogawaConan: *holds his nose some and accepts the help* Arigato, oniisan. Yeah, I'm fine. *puts his shoes on and steps out of the house*
* Ayumi puts her shoes back on and heads out with him
Ayumi: *thinking* Now my socks are all dusty....
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: Mitsuhiko puts his shoes on and throws a glance behind him.
HaibaraAi: Haibara was getting a small chill. How no one lived there...
* Ayumi walks close to Conan and whispers in his ear
Ayumi: *w* So where do we go now, Oniisan?
[The following conversation is heard by Conan via transmitter.]
Tanaka: You're back. What took so long?
Resident Man: I ditched the kids. They're gone.
Tanaka: That's what you should have done from the beginning.
Resident Man: Yeah, yeah. They said they work for the Sleeping Kogoro. What was I supposed to do? If Kogoro came, he'd DEMAND to come back here.
Tanaka: So you let his kids run around?
Resident Man: It's not like that!
EdogawaConan: *he walks a little further until they're out of sight before stopping, raising hand to his glasses to listen better*
Tanaka: We should move the operation somewhere else.
* HaibaraAi steps a little closer
Resident Man: I think we're safe. They seemed satisfied.
* [TsuburayaMitsuhiko] looks confused at Conan and Haibara
* Ayumi stays close to Conan.
EdogawaConan: *softly* Operation? *listening*
Tanaka: Think about it you idiot. If they found something, wouldn't they ACT normal until they got Kogoro here?
Resident Man: We don't even use the rest of the house, what could they find?
Tanaka: I don't know...
Tanaka: Look, it just doesn't feel right, alright?
Tanaka: I feel like we're being spied on.
Resident Man: You're paranoid.
Resident Man: This house is a solid front. No one knows what's going on here.
Resident Man: They definitely don't know about the asset.
Tanaka: How do you know they're not listening to us right now?
Resident Man: This isn't a spy movie, you paranoid freak.
Resident Man: If they knew what was going on then they'd have a search warrant.
Tanaka: Ugh. It doesn't feel right. We need to at least move were we keep her.
Resident Man: What? To a different room?
Tanaka: Yeah, at the least.
Tanaka: I'd prefer a different house.
Resident Man: Fine, we can do a different room, to satisfy your paranoia.
Tanaka: Yeah... I'm already feeling the itch to scrub this room with bleach.
Resident Man: What do you think Luminol's going to turn up positive for in here anyway?
Tanaka: Can't be too careful.
Resident Man: Right.
EdogawaConan: *Thought: "keep her?! Kidnappers?!"* *glances behind him at the house; /what/?!*
Tanaka: Look, I'm going to go pick a new room....
Tanaka: You want me to take your jacket? You look pretty hot.
Resident Man: Yeah, I grabbed it by reflex when I met the kids at the door.
Resident Man: Wanna keep a changing appearance, right?
Tanaka: Sure thing. I'll go hang it up the front now.
* [Sound of a door shutting]
* [Slight tap against the wall]
Ayumi: Conan-kun?
Ayumi: Did you find out what they're doing?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Conan-kun, what is it? That scary face?"
HaibaraAi: "Edogawa-kun?"
Ayumi: Or maybe what the puzzle was about?
EdogawaConan: *looks back at the house with a slightly dark look* . . . *relates everything he heard to the others*
Ayumi: O.o A kidnapping??
Ayumi: Who??
Ayumi: A girl...but...who would they take?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Eeh?! No way! Who is it?!"
Ayumi: One of Oniisan's friends?
HaibaraAi: "Hm. I had a feeling...”
EdogawaConan: I don't think so. *he frowns slightly* But it might be the case... that Shinichi-niisan wants to solve, ne?
Ayumi: We have to help!
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "She might be in a lot of danger!"
Ayumi: *trying not to let on to Mistu and Ai that she knows anything about it*
* WatanabeEiji calls Shinichi's cell.
Ayumi: So...now what?
Ayumi: Are we out of leads again?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Ah, his phone..."
Ayumi: Conan-kun, ketai...
EdogawaConan: *catches her arm before she can go anywhere* Barrou! That’s what got us in trouble last time with the others-- Ah! *starts slightly as his phone rings* *gets it out and checks it* ... Hang on a minute... phone call... *he heads further away, tugging his bow tie out further*
HaibaraAi: "Sounds like he's getting a call right now. Never think there are no paths left."
* Ayumi stays put, watching Oniisan
EdogawaConan: *flips the phone open and answers it with his teen voice* Yes?
WatanabeEiji: Kudou-kun?
WatanabeEiji: I have some leads on your impersonator case.
EdogawaConan: *K* Ahh, Watanabe-keibu? What timing!
EdogawaConan: Information? *he perks slightly, well, another related case, at least.*
WatanabeEiji: Right. It pains me to say this, but it's now police business. I'm going to ask you to drop this particular one; we'll take it from here.
WatanabeEiji: Fortunately, we've narrowed it down quite a bit.
EdogawaConan: *K* Huuuh? *he gets a puzzled look at the slight abruptness of that*
WatanabeEiji: I'd say otherwise, but it's not my department.
WatanabeEiji: I called for two reasons, though.
WatanabeEiji: The first is obviously to ask you to get off the case.
WatanabeEiji: The second is a question.
WatanabeEiji: Are you in Fukuoka right now?
KudouShinichi: I see... *he smiles slightly* Sorry, Keibu, but... there's a reason I can't drop it completely. Things earlier have proven that. *he glances over his shoulder towards the others* I've got another case I'm working on, so I'll leave it up to you to find this impersonator-- hopefully the wrong people won't find him before you do. *his eyes narrow slightly at the question* I might be... Why do you ask?
WatanabeEiji: To be perfectly honest, I don't know. I was asked to ask you by one of our investigators looking into your impersonation case.
WatanabeEiji: Good luck with your case, though.
KudouShinichi: Ah-- Keibu-san?
WatanabeEiji: Yeah?
KudouShinichi: There haven’t been... any reports of a missing girl in Fukuoka recently, has there?
WatanabeEiji: Missing girl? It's not my department, but I could find out if you'd like.
KudouShinichi: Ah. That'd be appreciated... because I think I stumbled across something, and I wanted to make sure.
WatanabeEiji: I'll give you a call if I find anything out, then.
KudouShinichi: Ah. Thanks. *hangs up the phone, and looks back towards the house with a suspicious look before going back to the others*
* Ayumi sees that Conan is done with the phone call and rushes up to him
Ayumi: *w*Oniisan? Did you find anything out?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Conan-kun, that was the police man, right? What did he have to say?"
EdogawaConan: *fakes a smile* It wasn't the police. It was Hakase checking up on us to make sure we were okay.
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Oh..."
Ayumi: Ah! *eyes go wide* We forgot Hakase!
Ayumi: We should probably go back and tell him what we found....~_~*
EdogawaConan: He's fine. Hakase's keeping an eye on Ran-neechan and Heiji-niisan so nothing bad happens to them and they can rest.
Ayumi: OK!
HaibaraAi: "Hakase said he would look after Hattori-kun and Ran-san while we were gone."
Ayumi: Then....we need to keep looking...right?
Ayumi: We have to find the fa---er, we have to find Shinichi-oniisan, right?
EdogawaConan: *he smiles slightly, though his eyes shift suspiciously back towards the house; he wants to know what's going on in there*
* Ayumi looks back at the house again too
Ayumi: Maybe we need more clues before we can save the oneesan you mentioned...
Ayumi: Like in a videogame! If you don't have all the things you need, you can't get any farther in the story! *^_^*
Ayumi: So maybe we need to go find something else and then come back?
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Yeah."
* Ayumi is looking hopefully at Conan
* EdogawaConan is thinking on what he'd heard; a "solid front" generally meant something with drugs, from his experience... It sounded like there was some kind of other crime ring in Fukuoka*
Ayumi: Ne, O--Conan-kun...maybe there's something else we missed?
Ayumi: How many cases has Shinichi-oniisan solved here?
Ayumi: Maybe if we check the old cases, we can find something about where Shinichi-oniisan is now! *^_^*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "There was one case 'he' didn't solve, right?" Mitsuhiko put his chin to his hand.
Ayumi: A case who didn't solve?
EdogawaConan: One of the recent cases didn't fit the previous entries. The police are already on that one.
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Shinichi-san, that is." He rubbed the back of his head nervously. He forgot that Ayumi-chan didn't know.
Ayumi: Oh...
Ayumi: *thinks* But, if Oniisan has been with us this whole time, then he hasn't really solved any of the cases...except of course Mitsuhiko-kun doesn't know that....
HaibaraAi: "Hattori-kun has the papers, right? We should return and retrieve them. I doubt we could get copies." Haibara didn't know exactly what was going on since Kudou-kun was hiding most of the stuff.
Ayumi: Then let's go! *^_^*
Ayumi: Maybe Heiji-oniisan has already found something! *^_^*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Yeah, let's go."
Ayumi: C'mon, Conan-kun! *grabs his hand* Let's go investigate! *^_^*
EdogawaConan: *blinks, several things suddenly clicking into place* A-Ah. Why don't you guys run on ahead a bit? *he pulls his phone out* I'll call Hakase and let him know we're heading back, ne?
Ayumi: B-but....
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: Realizes Conan has figured out some stuff.
EdogawaConan: *he grins slightly at Ayumi* I'm not running off. I'll be right behind you guys.
* Ayumi drops his hand but sorta just stands there looking confused
HaibaraAi: "It seems Edogawa has figured something out, we should do our share, ne?"
Ayumi: *w*Oniisan...*pouting*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Let's go, Ayumi-chan. He can do it on his own...”
Ayumi: *pouts*
Ayumi: *doesn't want to leave Oniisan*
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "I- I know. I wanna know what Conan-kun has found too... But...”
* [TsuburayaMitsuhiko] grabs Ayumi's hand
KudouShinichi: *dials a number and hits "talk" so it'll call, tugging on his bowtie again, casting another suspicious glance at the house, hanging back, about to pull away if they don't get moving*
HaibaraAi: "We all know it's dangerous, right?"
* Ayumi gives Mitsu a somewhat unhappy look....but moves away from Conan
* [TsuburayaMitsuhiko] is surprised that Haibara is saying that so lightly
Ayumi: But that's why we shouldn't leave him all by himself! *explodes*
HaibaraAi: "Edogawa-kun is more than capable of handling things by himself." She smiled.
[TsuburayaMitsuhiko]: "Like the elevator bomb, right?" He said nervously.
HaibaraAi: "Exactly."
HaibaraAi: She takes Yoshida's hand and pulls her away too
Ayumi: Wait...all?
Ayumi: *is confused*
Ayumi: Ne, Ai-chan...*walks over closer to her*
Ayumi: *whispering to Ai* Earlier you said that we're all children...like you aren't one....and now something about us all knowing it's dangerous...
Ayumi: *w*You...know something about what happened to Oniisan, don't you?
* WatanabeEiji answers phone.
WatanabeEiji: Hello?
WatanabeEiji: Watanabe Eiji speaking.
HaibaraAi: "Yoshida-san. As I said before... Edogawa-kun and I are chasing something... But it is very dangerous. Do you understand? I can't tell you, because it will put you in danger.
